Sometimes for good reason. There's a small local Oldies station here in NJ and every time they play "Billy Don't Be a Hero", "The Night Chicago Died", or "Seasons in the Sun", it's an instant turn-off. Once in a while I can stand, but they have those stinkers in regular rotation!

On the other hand, CBS-FM plays some songs that weren't even a Top 40 hit when they were new, and which I greatly enjoy. So in an Oldies/Classic Hits playlist, there's more room for music that listeners will react favorably to even if they're unfamiliar with it, rather than digging up "lost hits" that should have stayed lost.
