Once upon a time talk radio mixed it up. WMCA had Bob Grant followed by Fred Gale. Galeís liberal talk bombed compared to Grantís big conservative numbers. In this case proving that Grants listeners exited when Gale came on.
Probably the first all conservative talk station was KVI, Seattle. They went that way noticing fluctuations depending on the topic. The ratings took off and the idea of one point of view was born. Talk of higher taxes, reparations, no bail, ETC donít lend themselves to talk. Nobody wants to hear that their taxes should be increased. So the more popular conservative agenda, it seems, wins. Of course Grant was not all political. He did other things too. Astrology was a topic with readings for callers.
